Now that we’re getting fully into the holiday season, I thought I’d start sharing some outfit inspiration for you all. For most Christmas parties and dinners, it’s generally expected that people show up in more dressy attire (unless it’s an Ugly Sweater Party or something). What I love about this outfit is that it’s dressy and cool at the same time. If you’re not the type to get all glammed up, this type of outfit is perfect for you and it’s SO easy. All you need is a fun mini skirt, and a tee, then you can build the outfit from there. That’s it!

What I love most is that this skirt has turquoise and rust in it (as opposed to bright red and pine green), so it’s still Christmasy but a little different. The sequins on the skirt also glam it up a bit without going overboard on the sparkle factor.

This tee was the perfect color with the rust in the skirt, but it would also look awesome with white, black, turquoise, grey or gold. You could even wear it with a more fitted top or a blouse if you wanted to dress it up just a hair.

I decided on ankle boots instead of heels to give it the slightly more casual vibe. Again, if you wanted to dress it up a bit more, you could do so with a pump or pointed stiletto.

Finally, the blazer rounds out the look because it dresses up the pieces that I chose to be more casual with. I almost wore a leather jacket, but the blazer won this round. A flowy cardigan or a long wool coat would make this look more elegant. That’s the beauty of this type of outfit: you can piece it together to be as dressy (or not) as you want.
