Merry (almost) Christmas, everyone! Who’s getting super excited? I know I am!! Considering my excitement, you’d think I’d be sitting here listening to Christmas carols, right? Nay nay. I’m actually listening to relaxed tropical music and I have a very sunshine-y, happy vibe right now 🙂 I know I’ll get my fill of Christmas music in the next couple of days, so I’m channeling my beach side at the moment.

Speaking of Christmas, I don’t know about all of you, but I still haven’t decided what to wear tomorrow and the next day. *gasp* I guess that’s the problem when you have too many clothes – there are simply too many options! I’ve been throwing inspiration at all of you for the last week or so, but now I need help deciding lol.

One clothing item that doesn’t ever truly seem to go out of style is a traditional red Christmas sweater. When I got the one I’m wearing in this post, I was trying to decide how to style it and I couldn’t decide which direction I wanted to go. So I went in two directions! I wanted to show you how truly versatile a simple sweater can be so you can dress it up or down, depending on where you’re wearing it.

My first look is definitely more dressy. Paired with a sequined mini skirt, it suddenly becomes a lot fancier. This is a great option if you want that heavenly mix of looking very put-together, yet approachable and comfortable. This look says, “yeah, I’m a little fancy, but I’ll still drink beer with you,” (or maybe that’s just me.) This is definitely one of my favorite ways to get dressed up.

The second look is a lot more casual. Since it’s Christmas, I still wanted to give the outfit a bit more “oomph”. With the jeans being light-colored, this look could easily slide into the fully casual side of things, so I paired it with my black OTK boots to give it more of a chic vibe. I also added a few gold accessories to glam it up even more. This would be perfect if you’re spending Christmas Eve or Christmas Day at home with the family. It’s casual chic at its finest.

OK, now it’s time for me to head to my closet to figure out my own outfit! Merry Christmas everyone!!
