Last weekend, Aaron and I took a little road trip out to Schenectady, NY. What’s in Schenectady, you ask? We wondered that, too. We found out about this little town because of a hotel deal offered on Groupon. It turns out, the drive there from Ontario is absolutely breathtaking and the town itself is historic, quaint and beautiful. On our first full day there, Saturday, it was a beautiful day. It was not too hot, not too cold – it was juuuuuuuust right. It felt like the perfect day to be outside and we decided to explore nearby Thacher State Park. This big draw at this park is the Indian Ladder Trail. If I was any good at remembering historical details, I would tell you all about it. However, I don’t always have the best memory for these kind of things, so let’s just say it was a gorgeous park with stunning vistas and cool waterfalls. OK? OK.

See? Isn’t this a stunning vista?

Wait…why am I still wearing shoes? We all know that my summer hiking shoes are my bare feet.

That’s better.

This was just the beginning of the trail. Then I ran into this sign:

I don’t like rules. I especially don’t like rule #3. I DO WHAT I WANT!

I’m loving this “love you” tank that I got at Winners! It’s so soft. This poncho from Dynamite was a steal at $10. Gotta love end-of-season shopping!

I thought a cave entrance might make for a cool pic. Then I heard something.

In my panic, I skittered out of here only to promptly step into a pile of poop! Serves me right for breaking the “no barefoot” rule 😛

Luckily, there was water nearby so I could clean off my poopy foot.

Then I saw this little guy. Isn’t he so cute?!

Seriously, what is up with my fascination with climbing things? I must have climbed a dozen rocky ledges on this hike.

Must. Do. Yoga. Pose. For. The. Insta.

Wait, how did my pants get so dirty?

Loving this combo of Victoria Emerson + Nakamol bracelets!
