Hey guys! How is everyone’s Monday going so far? I’m just trying to get ahead on some blog posts and get any last-minute Christmas details taken care of. Every time it feels like I’m all done, I think of something else I need to do!
Anyway, I styled this outfit when Aaron and I went away last weekend, so I figured I should share it with you before it becomes irrelevant 😛 We took a little weekend trip to the Finger Lakes in New York and it was so pretty there! This picturesque town offered a lot of great photo opportunities that we definitely took advantage of. We’ll definitely be going back once the weather gets warmer again because there are so many great places to explore.
Lately, I’m finding myself very drawn to leather details and black pieces. It’s weird, because normally, I’m all about COLOR. I’m thinking it has something to do with the frequently grey, rainy weather we’ve been experiencing lately. Let’s talk about these boots first, shall we? If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve been wearing this pair almost non-stop for the past week. I stare at my piles of other shoes and I always end up grabbing this beauties. They work so well with almost every outfit and they are ridiculously comfy! Even though they have a bit of a heel, they’re almost more comfortable than going barefoot. Seriously.
Now, the jeans: these are the other most comfortable part of my outfit. I got these at the American Eagle outlet for $20 and they feel like leggings, even though this particular pair isn’t considered a jegging. They’re the perfect mix of looking and wearing like jeans with the flexible comfort of leggings. The perfectly placed rips also give them an edge that I just LOVE.
To avoid having too much black in my outfit, I chose bold red accents. There’s just something about the combination of black and red that I find myself drawn to a lot lately. This tee is perfection! I think I mentioned in a previous post that I found these t-shirts at Pink by Victoria’s Secret right when I was starting to feel like there was no such thing as The Perfect Tee in existence anymore. This style is awesome because it’s long enough to wear with leggings, but looks great with jeans, too and it’s perfectly slouchy without being sloppy. I’ll definitely be sporting these t-shirts a lot!
