Happy….Monday? How is the weekend always over so quickly? I feel like I wait all week for it and then, in the blink of an eye, it’s back to Monday. *sigh* At least a new day means a new outfit, right? 😉
This past weekend, my husband and I perused a local craft show. It was really neat because it was held in a greenhouse. All the artisans were local and they all had really cool stuff to offer. Of course, I over-indulged in buying one of my biggest obsessions: tea. I just can’t help it! There are SO many local tea companies that make the yummiest blends. Take My Tea Brew, for example: the owner, Donna, is the sweetest lady! She cares so much about tea and it really shows. My favorite is her Peach Chai, which is a classic chai tea mixed with just the right amount of peach. It’s seriously delicious and addictive!
Anyway, with the weather being so volatile lately, I opted for a layered look. Seriously, guys, layers are where it’s at! That way, we’re always prepared no matter what the weather throws at us, right? I got this wonderful vegan leather jacket the other day at Winners and I foresee it being worn on major repeat this fall/winter. I love that the sleeves are slim, but they’re not so tight that I can’t wear it over anything. Plus, it has a seriously soft, fluffy lining that gives it extra warmth and coziness. I love the look of leather because it makes any outfit look 100x cooler in an instant. This jacket is vegan leather and it seriously looks and feels so close to the real thing without the hefty price tag. Love it!
I softened the look a little by layering the jacket on top of a soft, pale pink waffle tee (my absolute favorite from Old Navy) and a super-soft blanket scarf I got from Marshalls. I threw that on top of my favorite denim from American Eagle, topped it off with my OTK black boots and the end result was a look that seamlessly combined soft & edgy. I was comfy and cozy, but chic at the same time.
