Happy Monday, all! As I’m writing this, I’ve heard a few claps of thunder…in Canada….in mid-December. The weather has definitely been strange this year, but I’m not complaining. My husband and I took a mini vacation this past weekend to the Finger Lakes in New York and we had great weather! Normally, I wouldn’t be frolicking around in a poncho with bare arms and no scarf at this time of year, but alas.

We came across this abandoned (we think) train track and we knew we just had to stop to explore (and take lots of pics, of course!) Once I spotted the turquoise train, it sealed the deal and we hopped out of the car. This is definitely one of my favorite photo sets to date! When I go extra-hammy for pictures, you just know I’m having a fantastic time 😛 Luckily, I took a few nice pictures, too, so you’re welcome 😉

I love this fringed poncho because it has such a great boho vibe and it matches with so much. I’m definitely leaning toward pinks, reds and wines this season and this outfit is no exception. I don’t want to speak too soon, but I think I finally found the perfect tee. I’ve been on the hunt for a round-neck tee that’s long enough to wear with leggings, but also not super baggy and shapeless. This one from Pink by Victoria’s Secret seems to hit all the check boxes: it’s a little longer in the back, but still long enough in the front, it fits slim, but not too tight and it’s soft. I love it!

Overall, this outfit was so incredibly comfy all day and it looked so cute, too. We had so much fun on our weekend getaway and it was definitely needed after how busy we’ve been these past few months.
